Hungary Day 2 - Budapest (part 1)

The Libery Statue
Since I've taken a lot of pictures during my two day visit of Budapest, this post will be split! This is Part 1! Read on for more panoramics, the Citadella upon Gellért Hill, The Libery Statue and more!

We arrived in Budapest and walked all the way to the Citadella, which is quite a walk in 35°C!  The statue you see is the Liberty Statue, it commemorates those who sacrificed their lives for the independence, freedom, and prosperity of Hungary.

We crossed the Liberty Bridge and sat down at Anna Café and had lunch. After the cheap prices in Kecskemét we had quite an expensive lunch! My chicken club sandwich was almost € 10!  (It was good though!)

And as diverse as it all is, we saw this man sitting in the hot sun in the middle of the street in front of the Dohány Street Synagogue. Nobody really paid any attention to him.

Coming up:
- Dohány Street Synagogue
- Budapest Streets
- Congregatio Jesu Church
- Fishersman's Bastion
- Danube
- Hungarian Parliament Building
- Shoes on the Danube Bank
