Moist Triple Chocolate Pie

Moist Triple Chocolate Pie
Recipe and more drool worthy shots below the jump break! :]
Moist Triple Chocolate Pie

A very nice and moist chocolate pie! I made 3 layers and failed miserably at decorating the top. By the way, did you know white chocolate doesn't melt very well? It doesn't get as fluid as dark or milk chocolate.
Recipe from Allerhande.nl (Dutch), translated by me into English below!

Ingredients
  • 225 gram of self rising flower
  • 4 spoons of cacao powder
  • 175 gram white sugar
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 200 grams of dark chocolate (72% cacao) mashed into pieces
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 150 grams of milk chocolate, also in pieces
  • 1 cup of wipe cream
How to:
  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Grease the baking form. Sieve the flower, the cacao and a bit of salt into a cup.
  2. Put the sugar, butter, half of the dark chocolate and 100 ml boiling water into a pan. Add the milk. Keep stirring the mixture on low heat until it's a smooth mass. Add to the flower mix and stir till it's a sturdy mix. Than mix in the eggs.
  3. Put the mixture into a baking form and leave it in the middle of the oven for around 55 minutes. You can check if it's done by using a cocktail pick and sticking it in the middle of the pie. If it comes out dry, than the pie is done!
  4. In the meantime, put the leftovers of the dark chocolate and milk chocolate in a different cup. Heat the wipe cream till boiling point, add this to the chocolate and stir till the chocolate dissolves. Whisk this with a mixer till it's smooth.
  5. Remove the pie from the oven and leave it inside the form for 30 minutes to cool down. After that, leave it for 1,5 hour to cool down completely.
  6. Let the chocolate mixture clot on room temperature.
  7. Cut the pie in two (or 3 as I did) and smear the chocolate mixture on both halves. Stack the halves after that.
  8. Enjoy! :]
